‘The Ocean Behind the Window’ to vie at San Francisco filmfest

The San Francisco Iranian Film Festival (IFF) in the US is to host Iranian movie ‘The Ocean Behind the Window’.

The film, directed by Babak Nabizadeh, will be screened at the competition section of the 13th edition of the American event.

The film narrates the story of a teenage boy on a remote island who tries to promote the island’s tourism but he faces an unexpected problem.

The cast of the film includes Hadiseh Karami, Mohammad Azadi, Mehran Mozaffari, Jafar Qasemi, Hassan Zakeri, Bahram Komijani, Amir Qavidel, Yousef Ranjbar, Qolam Ranjbar, and Mohammad Salimi.

Launched in 2008, the IFF is an annual event showcasing independent feature and short films made by or about Iranians from around the world. It is the first independent Iranian film festival outside Iran.

The 13th edition of the festival is scheduled to be held on September 19-20, 2020.
